Spring Portraits!

Howdy Friends and Fans! A lot of the work i have been doing over the last couple of years has been more editorial/commercial in nature so i haven't been able to post much of it just yet if at all. Another Beautiful High School Senior!

FALLing into Senior portraits!  This beautiful young woman has been photographed by me a number of times over the years, but her Senior Session was particularly special to me.  Seems like she went from sweet little girl to beautiful young woman overnight!

Spring Portraits in Woodbridge, Virginia

Well hello there! It's been awhile!!!  And WOW has this winter ever dragged on.  I actually enjoy winter, mainly because i love snow but we've been short on snow and big on cold! Here we are in April and i realize i haven't blogged since December.  So...let's catch up, shall we? The first quarter of 2018 has mostly been devoted to commercial photography with some outdoor portrait sessions sprinkled in the mix when weather permitted. We even had a Christening and a big event for a publisher to round things out!  Right now it's still pretty chilly but we did manage to have a day just before the cherry blossoms really popped, which provided a really pretty backdrop for this high school senior.  Enjoy!  And thanks for stopping by.  As always, you can book your very own session by contacting the studio today.  We look forward to working with you!

Newborn Photography: Christmas Blessings

Had the great pleasure of photographing this beautiful family as they welcomed a newborn son to the world.  He's just eleven days young!!!  Also want to take a moment to thank everyone for all the support this last year. 
The studio will be on limited hours between now and January 3rd.  We have very limited openings, mostly reserved for Boutique Petite sessions and newborns, so contact the studio as soon as possible to see what's still available.
It's been a great 2017 and we're looking forward to welcoming 2018!

High school seniors are so much fun to photograph! As the weather gets cooler, i've been scheduling as many seniors as possible to get that last bit of Autumn color!  If you weren't able to get on the schedule this month, no worries, the studio has many lovely backdrops of all kinds/styles...and it's warm =)  We look forward to working with you soon!

What to Wear for a Photo Session!

One of the most frequently asked questions i receive is 'what should I wear?' I thought a few examples might be helpful for those planning to book their sessions in the coming days. Basic rule of thumb is to mix patterns, textures and solids that incorporate similar colors, without being all 'matchy-matchy'. Here are some ideas! Fall portrait sessions are booking now!

The navy blue compliments this sweet boy very well, and is a nice contrast to the pattern and texture of his shorts.

With a beautiful, large family, it can be a challenge to figure out what everyone should wear! This family pulled it off perfectly with a great mix of patterns and solids that pull together wonderfully!

 I love that this couple mixed up the red, white, and blue with various patterns in the shirt, flag scarf and bright red solid. It came together perfectly!
