2020: What A Year...Part One

 Like many of you, 2020 has proven to be quite the wild ride.  My husband and business manager spent a month in the hospital after a minor procedure turned into an emergency situation.  He has been recovering slowly since March.  Thanks be to God, we were still able to keep taking portrait sessions though COVID made things a little more interesting.  I will be sharing some of the photo sessions as we wind down towards Thanksgiving.  Despite the craziness of this year there is always something for which to be thankful.  Always. 

Spring Portraits in Northern Virginia

We were supposed to get some snow yesterday, but it missed us in Historic Occoquan at Lisa Julia Photography! It was still pretty chilly and dreary, and it looks like the flowers will be blooming late, but that's no problem!...we make 'Spring' happen right inside the studio! Unicorn Mini Photo Sessions Woodbridge Virginia

Taking a moment to share a few recent portraits from one of our 'Boutique Petite' mini session events.  It took some effort to secure the *perfect* magical unicorn but in the end, we ended up with lots of giggling little girls, a beautiful sunny day and a very peaceful and cooperative unicorn.
I know i normally post on the blog or on the Facebook Fan Page when we are having specials, but for this first round of sessions it was strictly word of mouth and they sold out very quickly.....so....many who wanted to have their own encounter with a unicorn were not able to do so.  The good news is that we will be doing this again....very soon....keep your eyes open and 'Like' our Fan Page here: Lisa Julia Photography Facebook Fan Page.  Stay tuned for future Boutique Petite Sessions featuring a little pony with cowboys and cowgirls, 'woodland creatures' with knights and princesses and more.  As always, thank you for your support!! xo

I was so excited to photograph these beautiful siblings and their mom and dad on such a pretty Spring day!  I began photographing the little girl when she was just a baby, and now 8+ sessions later it's hard to believe how much they've both grown and changed.

Happy New Year!

Here is a very handsome newborn boy (just 1 week old!) named Ian....and as you can tell, he's also a future Virginia Tech Fan!
