Fall Photo Session

Boy did summer fly by fast or what?! Hard to believe we're already in the middle of September. I continue to be grateful to my incredible clients whether they are portrait clients or freelance contracts for commercial work. I always enjoy meeting all of you and creating memories together. I am looking forward to a very busy Fall!

High school seniors are so much fun to photograph! As the weather gets cooler, i've been scheduling as many seniors as possible to get that last bit of Autumn color!  If you weren't able to get on the schedule this month, no worries, the studio has many lovely backdrops of all kinds/styles...and it's warm =)  We look forward to working with you soon!

Spring Portraits in Northern Virginia

We were supposed to get some snow yesterday, but it missed us in Historic Occoquan at Lisa Julia Photography! It was still pretty chilly and dreary, and it looks like the flowers will be blooming late, but that's no problem!...we make 'Spring' happen right inside the studio! Matilda Jane Clothing Review: It's A Wonderful Parade

I continue to be very humbled to take part in another review for Matilda Jane Clothing.  This time our lovely model is wearing a girl's size 12 Roller Coaster Tiered Ellie Dress.
As always, Matilda Jane delivers an amazing product that girls love to wear!!  The attention to detail, especially in the fun and funky color combinations make their boutique clothing a huge favorite!  The fabric is soft and durable, and most of all it is modest, stylish and COMFORTABLE!  You can pair this particular dress with so many different colors and accessories.  Since it was a breezy Spring Day when we were doing the photo shoot, we opted for a simple necklace and simple hair pretties, but this dress will also look amazing with the Blue Ribbon Leggings.

I think i've come to the realization that i am not a writer....and a lot of times, that fact has kept me from making a blog entry...when really, it's not about what i say with words.  Really, it's about what i say with my camera.  So with that in mind, i will simply be sharing some recent sessions, along with some i never made time to share before.
As always, the support you've all shown over the years is much appreciated.  Fall is pretty much booked, but there is still time to get some portraits in time for the Holidays =)

Recently i  was asked to share my thoughts, along with some photos from the latest collection by MATILDA JANE CLOTHING 
i am really honored and excited to do this!
As the mother of a young daughter, i am always aware of the challenges presented when trying to find stylish, affordable, comfortable, and modest clothing for her.  So a few years back when i discovered MATILDA JANE CLOTHING 
it was a perfect match.  And their latest PAINT BY NUMBERS COLLECTION 2 is no exception.
In typical MATILDA JANE
style, not only are the pieces beautifully made, they mix and match really well with what we already have in our closet!  My daughter raves about how comfortable they are; no itchy or stiff fabric, and i love that while they are super funky and fun, they are also modest and allow her to express her sweet personality.

The three pieces i was sent to review arrived in typical Matilda Jane style; beautifully packaged and exceptionally well-made. My daughter is wearing a size 10, and the fit is generous, allowing for room to grow.
