Fairytale Fusions =)

There is a part of me that is still very much a believer in fairytales and all things magical.
That's the inspiration behind my "Fairytale Fusions". These Limited Edition pieces fuse fine art photographs with whimsical graphic elements. No two pieces are exactly alike and i will work with you to design the perfect wall portrait and family heirloom. Each portrait is digitally signed and numbered for authenticity.

Kaylah...and Nathan too!

I told you i would be back today with another post =)

The lovely and talented Kaylah is one of the very gifted yoga instructors at My Body Yoga Spa located on Mill Street in Occoqua, VA...just across the street and to the left a bit of my studio.

We did a few fun yoga poses and then let Nathan jump in for a couple minutes...or should i say Nathan let Kaylah jump in =)

Meet Cedar =)

I am still here! Been a bad blogger lately as i try and keep up with the Summer rush!

I am in love with Cedar's blond curls and blue eyes..he looks like a baby Paul Newman to me!!
(and with that remark i am showing my age!!!)

Cedar and his Dad Leaf and Mom Tracy were kind enough to make the trip to my favorite shooting area. Cedar was SO good considering this was a very late afternoon session and rather STICKY outside. Here are a few quickies i grabbed for you so you won't have to stay up too late to get your sneak peek.

Jonah's ONE!

Hi!

I thought i would jump on real quick and update you on one of THE cutest baby boys. I first photographed Jonah when he was all of 3 days old! Technically i photographed him before that when mom was still carrying him ;-)
His big sister Sarah is also a fave subject of mine too!

On June 5th, Jonah turned one. I can't believe how big he is and how fast he is on his feet!

Technical difficulties with my website...UGH!

So it's after 3am and i am trying to get caught up on editing...i have several beloved clients i recently photographed who are all moving out of state...which means i am burning the midnight oil (and beyond!) to get the galleries and slideshows done...so....while my fingers are moving frantically in the wee hours of the morning....i just found out that only *I* can see the flash/high speed version of my website, and thanks to another local photog friend who is also burning the midnight oil, i now know my site is down...OH JOY! Seems the recent update i tried to do tonight messed things up and now i can't get it back to it's previous state...That'll teach me!

Thankfully my ancient but reliable 'dial up' site is still working, though my flash site, as well as the blog you are reading has my more recent work.

Hopefully the wonderful techie web folks i contacted a few minutes ago while in a state of panic will be able to help me fix this soon...but i trust they are in bed at the moment as i should be!

Maybe i am dreaming this and it's really working...i will keep you posted!  Or better yet, if you can see the high speed version of my site, let me know so i can sleep easier LOL!

A couple quick announcements =)

Father's Day sessions are finished...those who need their portraits in hand for Father's Day are all set, but if you haven't already booked a session and need portraits in hand for Father's Day, i am sold out! If you don't need prints in time for Father's Day and still want to schedule a session, let me know as i still have some openings in June, but i am currently booking sessions for July and further. I am normally booked well in advance and the Fall fills up very fast, usually with repeat clients who know how crazy my schedule can get lol! I want to thank you all for your kindness and support. It means the world =)

Also, in celebration of the Occoquan Craft Show which takes place this weekend: June 7-8 i am offering the FIRST PERSON WHO CONTACTS ME THROUGH MY WEBSITE the opportunity to use their entire session fee as a print credit!!! Please put "Occoquan" as your subject and i will get back with you regarding the details. You do NOT have to go to the craftshow to be eligible for this special print credit but your session does need to take place between July 1st and November 5th 2008. I can only do this for the FIRST person who contacts me, but keep your eye on the blog (you can subscribe to the feed below!) as i will probably be having other specials in the coming days and months ahead!

The Artist and the Kitty (aka Seda) =)

This is Kelly...if you look over on the right hand side of my blog, you will find a link to her Etsy store, "Of Nature Jewelry". Not only is Kelly an amazing jewelry designer, she is also a phenomenal painter. Her talents include murals, custom breyer horses and portraits.
Kelly's Art Box is located in the same building as my studio in Occoquan. You can view her many paintings and jewelry creations, all of which are available for purchase. I have and love some of her jewelry and can't speak highly enough about the quality and uniqueness of each piece.

I can't believe Miss Lily will be 3 years old in July. I have been photographing her since she was just a little babe. Lily and her family will be moving out of the area later this month, so this was our last photo shoot *sniff*....this is from this afternoon. To Lily's Mom and Dad, thank you for letting me capture your beautiful little Princess...and Ty and Annie too ;-)
