2020: What A Year...Part One

 Like many of you, 2020 has proven to be quite the wild ride.  My husband and business manager spent a month in the hospital after a minor procedure turned into an emergency situation.  He has been recovering slowly since March.  Thanks be to God, we were still able to keep taking portrait sessions though COVID made things a little more interesting.  I will be sharing some of the photo sessions as we wind down towards Thanksgiving.  Despite the craziness of this year there is always something for which to be thankful.  Always. 

Another Beautiful High School Senior!

FALLing into Senior portraits!  This beautiful young woman has been photographed by me a number of times over the years, but her Senior Session was particularly special to me.  Seems like she went from sweet little girl to beautiful young woman overnight!

Spring Portraits in Woodbridge, Virginia

Well hello there! It's been awhile!!!  And WOW has this winter ever dragged on.  I actually enjoy winter, mainly because i love snow but we've been short on snow and big on cold! Here we are in April and i realize i haven't blogged since December.  So...let's catch up, shall we? The first quarter of 2018 has mostly been devoted to commercial photography with some outdoor portrait sessions sprinkled in the mix when weather permitted. We even had a Christening and a big event for a publisher to round things out!  Right now it's still pretty chilly but we did manage to have a day just before the cherry blossoms really popped, which provided a really pretty backdrop for this high school senior.  Enjoy!  And thanks for stopping by.  As always, you can book your very own session by contacting the studio today.  We look forward to working with you!

Fall portraits have been in full swing all over the DMV!  I traveled to Maryland to capture this beautiful family, as they celebrated the 1st birthday of their youngest child.  The weather and the foliage were perfect!

It's a huge understatement to say that this year has FLOWN by, and staying true to myself, i realize i have been the worst blogger ever!!!  I suppose it's *GREAT* that we've been busy with a huge variety of photo shoots, and hopefully in the coming days i will share what we've been up to over the last number of months!!  Today i am sharing a lovely Grandma and her adorable grandsons. Occoquan recently had the Grand Opening of the new Park, so we were able to take advantage of the new LOVE sign!  Enjoy the photos and enjoy the rest of the summer!  Tomorrow we leave for Minnesota to photograph a wedding over the weekend.  Stay tuned, and thank you again for all the support over these last many years!!!

I think i've come to the realization that i am not a writer....and a lot of times, that fact has kept me from making a blog entry...when really, it's not about what i say with words.  Really, it's about what i say with my camera.  So with that in mind, i will simply be sharing some recent sessions, along with some i never made time to share before.

Recently i  was asked to share my thoughts, along with some photos from the latest collection by MATILDA JANE CLOTHING 
i am really honored and excited to do this!
As the mother of a young daughter, i am always aware of the challenges presented when trying to find stylish, affordable, comfortable, and modest clothing for her.  So a few years back when i discovered MATILDA JANE CLOTHING
